Jack Bosma, Director of Windsor Fine Art in New Orleans, has 18 years experience in the art business.
Mr. Bosma started his career in 1985 with Martin Lawrence Galleries in Newport Beach, California as an art consultant. Within one year Mr. Bosma was promoted to gallery director, working closely with the vice president of operations. This led to Mr. Bosma being instrumental in opening four galleries for the company and training staff, as well as setting up all aspects of gallery operations.
In 1988 he joined Robert Bane Editions in Los Angeles as National Director for this large art publishing company, liaising closely with gallery owners and directors worldwide. Marketing and setting up shows with the artists represented by Robert Bane Editions, provided Bosma with great experience in the logistics of selecting art for shows, shipping and insurance, and sales of art during the show, as well as dealing with the mass media.
After five years in this position, he went to work for Walnut Street Gallery in Colorado. This cutting edge gallery had just started publishing and selling artwork by famed musicians and photographers. Mr. Bosma assisted Walnut Street Gallery in establishing what is today one of the largest Rock n Roll art publishing companies in the United States.
In 1995 Galerie Adrienne in San Francisco recruited Mr. Bosma to head up all aspects of their Retail gallery, as well as establish an art publishing business within the gallery. Under his direction the gallery flourished, becoming one of the leading galleries in San Francisco. In 1996 he left the company due to differences with the ownership on the direction the gallery should take. He was recruited by Galerie Michael in Beverly Hills to head up their old masters division called Titus Fine Art. This position was challenging and very exciting. Working with gallery owners and museum directors throughout the United States and other parts of the world, Mr. Bosma brought fine works on paper to shows. He presented great training for staff, curators and gallery directors, as well as interesting and informative lectures for clients during show openings. This experience led to his ultimately becoming a partner in Windsor Fine Art.
Today Mr. Bosma directs this gallery which features many fine works by: Rembrandt; Durer; Renoir; Pissarro; Chagall; Picasso; Matisse; Lautrec; and a number of fine living artists. Occasionally he still does special exhibitions with museums and galleries.
