In excellent condition, printed on a sheet with full margins. Provenance: ex-collection Henri M. Petiet (French, born 1894), the important Parisian collector, published and dealer in prints and drawings of such artists as Bonnard, Vuillard, Luce, Signac, Matisse, Rouault, Villon, Vlaminck, Dufy, Picasso, Laurencin as well as Toulouse-Lautrec, with his collection stamp (the initials 'H.M.P.' in an oval) in black ink, verso.
From the edition of 100 printed on this paper (there were 20 additional impressions printed in black ink on China paper, and 20 printed in olive-green ink also on China paper, for an overall edition of 140). One of the 14 plates originally published by C. Joubert in the album Mélodies de Désiré Dihau, Paris 1896. This impression is plate VII from the edition published under the album title Quatorze Lithographies Originales de Toulouse-Lautrec pour Illustrer des Chansons, by H. Lefébvre, Libraire a Paris, 1935 (there was one final edition, an edition of 500 impression [450 printed in brown-black ink, 50 in olive-green, on Arches wove paper] issued in 1978 by A.C. Mazo & Cie., Paris). The stone has since been canceled and is in the collection of the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris.
