Dated and signed in the block with the artist's monogram lower left.

A fine late 16th century Meder 'd' impression, without Latin letterpress text on verso, showing the two small gaps in the borderline at the lower right corner, printed circa 1599-1600. One of 20 woodcuts (frontispiece and 19 plates) issued in the album The Life of the Virgin.

Trimmed down to the borderline on all four sides, otherwise in excellent condition.
